As a first generation Cambodian-American, my journey has shaped my values. I arrived in America as a child, with my family, seeking political asylum and opportunity in. Today, I remain a proud member of the Southern California community that embraced our family as a City Councilwoman, realtor, veterans advocate, and mom of two. I bring the kind of experience this office needs: 25+ years as a real estate professional, a track record as an elected official who fights for transparency and accountability in government, and as the Federal Political Coordinator for the National Association of Realtors in California’s 45th Congressional District. I understand property valuation from every angle — as a broker, a small-business owner, a homeowner, and a public servant. I’m running to be a voice for Orange County families hoping to make their American Dream a reality. Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office? I believe every Orange County resident deserves honesty, respect, and access to clear, accurate information. That’s why I’m committed to modernizing the Assessor’s Office with upgraded technology, so the office is more accessible, efficient and user-friendly. As Assessor, I’ll ensure every homeowner and renter knows their rights. I’ll guide families through local protections for homeowners, helping them preserve their low tax bases and keep their homes. I’ll protect homeowners and small businesses from unfair valuation spikes while expanding opportunities for middle-income families, younger buyers, and first-time homeowners. I’ll also support exemptions for seniors, veterans and other vulnerable citizens.. I am running for County Assessor to restore confidence in the operations of the office. I’m running for every family worried about rising costs, and working to make their American Dream a reality. What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about? I’m interested in local budgeting. The Orange County Assessor manages a $35 million budget and determines property valuations that directly impact what 3.2 million residents pay in taxes. It’s one of the most consequential county offices — and one of the least scrutinized. I founded the La Palma Chamber of Commerce to support small businesses and create more growth in our community. On the city council, I championed public safety, economic development, ethics and transparency in government. A life-long veteran’s advocate, I have worked to honor and protect veterans with more than just words, starting a local Veterans Fair and serving as an auxiliary member of the VFW and American Legion.
